About me? Where do I start?
I'm insane. I'm hard work. I'm a pain in the backside. On the plus side, I care deeply about my friends and family, and would do anything for anyone. I visit an old lady on a regular occurance because I can't bear to think that she 's by herself. But did I mention that I'm hard work?
When life is good, its REALLY good. When life is bad, you'de better stay out of my way, cos the chances are I may kill you with one look; a look that I am perfecting from my Mama. *Shudders*
I look after kids. Which amuses me immensly as I can't even look after myself at the best of times and if I can have someone looking after me, I will. I think my 'charges' are more grown-up than me, the majority of the time. But we have great fun together and I will bore you with more stuff about that at a later point, no doubt. But know that I love my kids and they keep me sane.
I love singing. I sing ALL the time. I sing at home. I sing at work. I sing at the supermarket. I sing in the shower. I sing on stage. I have sung for the pope. Ok, that last bit was a lie, but I'm sure he would love it if I sang for him. No, really, he would....
I grew up (I use that term loosely) in the South of England in a not-so-beautiful part of Hampshire, in a rather large (for the area) house that was mostly falling apart as we slept. My real mother didn't really like cleaning, and, unlike most people that dislike cleaning, she refused to hire a cleaner. So not only were we living in a house that was falling apart, we lived in a dirty house that was falling apart.
I have two sets of parents; Real and 'adopted.' Real mother is lovely, and am very close to her, but I can only stand to be in her company for 2 days at a time. And that is the very maximum amount of time. She likes me to call home at least once a day. I like to call home at least once a month. Real father is a plonker and I cannot bear to be near him. Insensitive t***, I think is the right phrase. Maybe more about that later.
The adopted parents; Mama is great. She's lovely and funny and is VERY tolerant. She is scary, though and when you get 'the look', you know you'de better run. Dad is amazing, funny and smart and the best friend I have ever had or could ever ask for. Am definatly a daddys girl, but he is really strict and I hardly ever get my own way. Meanie pants. The are both great, though and are like real parents to me.
For the purpose of this blog, I shall refer to 'real' parents as 'mother and father' and surrogates as 'Mum and Dad.'
I have 3 brothers. I pushed the oldest in a lake once. That was funny and I will probably tell you about that at a later date.
I am boring myself, so here endeth the first lesson.
P.S. I am hard work.
